Warpcon

WARPCON  is U.C.C.’s annual wargaming and roleplaying convention.

This year like most other years it is held primarily in the student centre of U.C.C. Aras na Mac Leinn with many of the events taking place here and other locations around campus including the Kampus Kitchen, the Mini and the O’ Rahilly building (the ORB).

This year marks WARPCON’s twentieth anniversary since it’s inception all those  years ago when it was ran in a room on campus with an attendance of around 40 people. Since then WARPCON has become a much larger con, sprawling over many rooms around campus.

Over the years WARPCON has seen many special guests come and go, with John Kovalic being one of our most important guests, he liked the con so much he’s been coming ever since! Other past guests include Games Workshop’s Jervis Johnson, Steve Jackson of Steve Jackson games and Stargate Atlantis’ David Nykl and many others.

We’re hoping for another great con this year! Let’s hope that if you’ve read this much that you’re going to attend, See you soon!
