Getting Here
By car or on foot
From the city centre, follow the signs to Killarney and West Cork
- go west out of the city along Washington Street
- go through the first two traffic lights
- pass Jury’s Hotel on your left
- turn left at the next traffic lights by the old College gates (if you are walking you can enter the campus here or through the next gates up Donovan’s Hill)
- go up Donovan’s Hill, past the Honan Chapel on your right
- at the top of the hill, turn right onto College Road
- the main vehicle entrance to the College is 200m down College Road on your right.
City buses
From the city centre, board a No. 8 (marked ‘Bishopstown’, about every 15 minutes) and ask to get off at Gaol Cross. Or board a
No. 5 (marked ‘Rossa Avenue’), and ask to get off at College Road .
Long-distance buses
The Bus Station is about 200m east of Patrick Street in the city centre. There are about six buses a day to and from Dublin (Busáras), journey time about four hours: see Bus Éireann’s website.
Bus Éireann also operates services to and from Limerick, Galway, Waterford and other cities in Ireland.
AirCoach operates a service every two hours to and from Dublin, including Dublin Airport. The coaches stop on Penrose Quay, at the back of the Metropole Hotel (almost opposite the bus station).
Taxis from the bus station to UCC cost about €7. Most city buses (including the No. 5 and No. 8 ) also stop at the bus station.
By train
There are frequent trains to Cork from Dublin (Heuston Station). Travel time is around three hours: timetables are on Iarnród Éireann’s website.
Trains stop at Mallow for connections with Killarney, and at Limerick Junction for connections with Limerick (for Shannon Airport).
Taxis from the rail station to UCC cost about €10, and there is also a bus to the city centre meeting some trains.
On Campus
When you get to UCC head to Áras na Mac Léinn, the Student Centre. This is where most of the convention is held, and where you can find the information desk.
The Student Centre is the big glass-fronted building located to the left of the Honan Chapel and facing the large circular amphitheatre, you can’t miss it 
Once inside you’ll find us upstairs in Devere Hall.
