Getting to Warpcon is easy. Some of you may find leaving a little
more difficult.
By Air:
Cork Airport - airport code ORK - is the only airport in Cork and is 8km from the city centre.

The airport is served by taxis, by public buses and by a private coach company - all stop at the front of the airport.
- There is a taxi rank at the front door of the airport. A taxi to UCC or the city centre will cost a fixed fare of 15euro.
- Public bus no226 connects Cork Airport with the bus station in the city centre (Parnell Place). A single fare costs less than 5euro.
- A private company SkyLink provides a bus service from the airport to various locations in the city. The driver will drop you to your accommodation if it is on/near their route. A single fare costs exactly 5euro.
Other Airports:
- Kerry/Farranfore Airport - airport code KIR - is west of Cork, near Killarney, and only 2 hours away by bus.
- Shannon Airport - airport code SNN - is north of Cork, at 2&half hours away by bus, this is the next nearest airport and the closest that has direct flights from the US.
- Dublin Airport - airport code DUB - on the east coast, north of Dublin City. A number of buses service the route from Dublin Airport to Dublin City Centre; buses (4&half hour journey) and trains (3 hour journey) for Cork leave Dublin City Centre hourly throughout the week.
By Sea:
Ferry routes serve Ringaskiddy (near Cork City), Rosslare (Wexford), Dublin Port, Dun Laoighire (Dublin), Belfast and Larne (both in Antrim, Northern Ireland) from various ports in England, France, Scotland, and Wales.
- DirectFerries.ie and Ireland.Ferries.org both offer information on all ferry routes to Ireland.
- Brittany Ferries offer direct sailings to Cork from Roscoff (France).
- Swansea-Cork Ferries offer direct sailings to Cork from Swansea (Wales). *Service suspended for 2007*
- Irish Ferries offer direct sailings from Holyhead (Wales) to Dublin; and from Pembroke (Wales), Cherbourg (France) and Roscoff (France) to Rosslare.
- Stenaline offer direct sailings from Holyhead (Wales) to both Dublin Port and Dun Laoghaire; from Fishguard (Wales) to Rosslare; from Stranraer (Scotland) to Belfast; and from Fleetwood (England) to Larne.
- P&O Ferries offer direct sailings from Liverpool (England) to Dublin; and from Cairnryan (Scotland) and Troon (Scotland) to Larne.

Timetables for trains and buses can be viewed, and tickets purchased, on the following websites:
- Iarnród Éireann (semi-state owned): - This is the only train service in the country.
- Bus Éireann (semi-state owned): - All airports/ cities/ towns/ villages.
- AirCoach (private bus company): (Dublin Airport - Dublin - Cork)
- Eurolines operated by Bus Éireann offers a direct bus daily from London to Cork - look for the "Tralee-London" route.
